New Game releases 2022

As we’ve said goodbye to 2021, yeah, we’re not sure where that year went either, the team at GMR are always looking ahead. Not just planning for our very own big projects but keeping our eyes on the gaming world too. For the most part our community is made up of gaming enthusiasts, who will be pleased to know there are plenty of new gaming releases coming in 2022. Here are just a few we can not wait to get our hands on…

Rainbow Six Extraction

Coming this month, the release of Rainbow Six Extraction – the latest in the Tom Clancy franchise series. Ubisoft have been working on this new game to create a 1-3 player shooter game. With unpredictable containment zones and an alien threat, this new release is compatible with PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Stadia.

Saints Row

Yes, the reboot of the ever-popular Saints Row series! It was announced in 2021 that Volition would be bringing back the crazy world of Saints Row. For those who don’t know, imagine Grant Theft Auto with a mixture of bizarre scenarios and characters. In the latest instalment, lead your own gang to claim ownership of the city. The game is set to be released in August 2022, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Weird West

An upcoming release from a relatively new game developer, Wolfeye Studios. The game Weird West has been hinted at being a combination of Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, Fallout and Dishonoured. This Western-inspired game has an element of supernatural horror and will be compatible across most consoles. Set for release in early Jan!

Dying Light 2 Stay Human

After the 2015 game Dying Light was so well received, this 2022 sequel of the game is set to be release in early Feb this year. Continuing the role-playing element of the original game which was such a success.

The release will be available on all the major consoles including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.

Horizon Forbidden West

Another sequel to add to the mix – Horizon Forbidden West is the sequel to 2017’s Horizon Zero Dawn which had a good response from gamers. The developers have promised this sequel will make the adventure even better with a game which feels more alive and real than ever!

Being released by Guerrilla Games, it will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in mid-February.

Elden Ring

A long-awaited release – the collaboration between Game of Thrones’ creator George R. R. Martin and developer From Software is set for release this Feb. The game has been created as a dark fantasy open-world game, with many Game of Thrones lovers and gamers, anticipating exciting hidden secrets.

Available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
