Will June 2022 Be A Big Month For Gaming?

Gaming fans were dealt a huge blow when it was announced that E3 2022 has been cancelled. However, there may still be some good news on the horizon for gamers. Industry insiders are suggesting that June could still be a big month for gaming, with several high-profile releases scheduled for that month. Whether or not this turns out to be true remains to be seen, but gamers around the world will certainly be keeping their eyes peeled in June 2022!

The Cancellation of the E3 Gaming Event

The cancellation of the highly anticipated annual gaming event has affected gaming companies, gaming fans and game developers alike. Originally organisers behind the event had stated that due to ongoing COVID concerns, the event would be held virtually, however, this has since been postponed and the event (both physically and online) will not be going ahead this year.

The cancellation of E3 has left a big hole in the gaming calendar for 2022. Gaming companies will now have to look for other ways to showcase their upcoming games. Some companies have already announced that they will be holding their own events, while others are still deciding on the best course of action.

What is to come in June 2022?

Despite this unfortunate news, there are some great things to look forward to next month in the world of gaming.

Events and announcements scheduled and expected in June include:

  • Summer Game Fest - June 9
  • Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase - June 12
  • Overwatch 2 Event - June 16th
  • Final Fantasy Announcement - TBA

In addition to these anticipated gaming events to keep you entertained, there are also many games expected to be released this June. Including big names such as Mario Strikers: Battle League, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, and LEGO Brawls (date TBA).

It looks like it's shaping up to be a big month for gaming, even without E3! Are you looking forward to any of the events or announcements happening in June? Let us know in the comments below.
